Here is everything we recommend when starting to plan your travel to Florence- flights, accommodations, and maybe even a little Italian adventure on either side of the wedding weekend.
Flights
The easiest airports to fly into from the US are Rome (FCO) or Milan (MXP) which are both about a 1.5hr train ride away from Florence. Florence (FLR) has a smaller regional airport which connects to many major cities throughout Europe.
Hotels
Villa Mangiacane is located on the edge of San Casciano, and about 30 minutes outside of Florence.Below are several hotels we recommend, both in and around Florence, for our wedding weekend!
Hotel L’Orologio Florence (approx 25 minutes from the venue)
Use Code: VICTORIALYNDON upon booking
Park Hotel Chianti (approx 15 minutes from the venue)
Please mention Victoria & Lyndon’s wedding upon booking. We were able to reserve 5 rooms at this hotel, which is slightly closer to the venue.
Transportation
We highly recommend renting a car to get around Tuscany! European rental companies like Sixt or Europcar are great options and are located next to the Florence Airport. There are also ride share applications such at itTaxi and Free Now, which compare to Uber and are easy to use by downloading the app to your phone. You can also always request taxi services from the front desk of your hotel.
Please note we will be offering shuttles from our recommended hotels for the welcome party & wedding day! Shuttle information will be posted to the website ahead of our wedding weekend.
